The BMW Group started the new year well, with strong sales growth of 28%. A total of 105,177 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand automobiles were delivered to customers worldwide in January (prev. yr. 82,150).

BMW are set to launch their facelifted 1 Series coupe and convertible at the upcoming Detroit motor show. The updated models feature a revised headlight and tail light design as well as a new splitter that BMW say creates an ‘air curtain’ around the front wheels. BMW claim the splitter reduces drag and improves CO2 emissions.

BMW has been named the world’s most sustainable automobile manufacturer for the sixth consecutive year. This was the conclusion of the SAM Group, published in its latest evaluation for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI).
