Toyota has achieved 17 Top 10 ratings in the 2011 Auto Bild TÜV Report, with eight models in the 5 different vehicle age categories making it the most successful brand listed.

Toyota of Japan have launched a new program aimed at recycling batteries from its Prius vehicles. The program aims to recycle the nickel in the nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries from hybrid vehicles, to be reused in new NiMH batteries. The program will be the first of its kind worldwide.

Statistics show that in France half of the population drives less than 16 km (1) per day for commuting between home and work. Besides, a photovoltaic panel of 1 m2 can provide in France on a yearly basis the necessary energy to run a Prius for 1 000 km in pure electric mode.

Toyota are proud to announce they have been presented with two new awards for their fuel efficient engines by the 2010 International Engine of the Year Jury. Toyota has won a total of 22 International Engine of the Year awards since the awards began in 1999.
